Director Market Access

As Director Market Access, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of market access activities in Germany. The focus will be on our innovative oncology products and vaccines. In this role, you will combine leadership skills, strategic expertise, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable access to our therapies within the German healthcare system. You will be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team dedicated to shaping the future of medicine.

Your Contribution:

Strategic Responsibility for Market Access in Germany

• Development and implementation of the market access strategy for the German portfolio (oncology & vaccines).
• Management of AMNOG processes, including leading dossier preparation, benefit assessments, negotiation preparation, and execution.
• Responsibility for pricing strategies, price negotiations, and long-term price positioning within the statutory health insurance system (GKV), aligned with global pricing.

Management of Reimbursement and Care Processes

• Ensuring reimbursement within the statutory health insurance system through all relevant mechanisms (e.g., adjustments or negotiation of reimbursement systems, KV processes, selective contracts).
• In-depth knowledge of EBM and DRG coding, including evaluation of new procedures, billing pathways, and remuneration logics.
• Close collaboration with KVs (regional associations of statutory health insurance physicians), health insurance funds, and other stakeholders.
• Close cooperation with Governmental Affairs, especially regarding expert input for policy briefings and strategic positioning. Participation in committees and meetings with political stakeholders while contributing your expertise.

Team Leadership and Internal Collaboration

• Leading and developing an interdisciplinary market access team.
• Close coordination with Medical Affairs, HEOR (Health Economics & Outcomes Research), Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Governmental Affairs.
• Promoting a data-driven and collaborative work culture.

Evidence Generation and Economic Evaluation

• Assessment and utilization of RWE studies (Real World Evidence), particularly based on health insurance data, care research, and registry data.
• Incorporation of health economic models (e.g., budget impact analyses, cost-effectiveness models) to support pricing and reimbursement arguments.
• Identification of evidence gaps, input into evidence generation plans, and initiation of corresponding study programs.

A Good Match:

• Completed studies in health economics, medicine, pharmacy, public health or a comparable qualification
• Several (5+) years of experience in market access in Germany; ideally in oncology or vaccine development
• Profound knowledge of AMNOG processes, GKV structures, EBM/DRG systems as well as pricing mechanisms
• Leadership experience with interdisciplinary teams and management of complex stakeholder landscapes
• Knowledge in RWE generation and health economic models is a plus
• Strong communication skills combined with negotiation expertise and strategic thinking
• Analytical competence paired with structured working methods; ability to convey complex issues clearly
• Confident demeanor when interacting with authorities, insurers, medical societies as well as internal decision-makers
