About our client Our client is a rapidly growing corporate group operating in the technical services sector, with a focus on access control solutions, fire protection, and security technology. The group brings together a network of specialist companies across Germany and is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy through both organic expansion and acquisitions. They have recently received an investment from an international financial sponsor and are entering next phase of growth. Thus they are actively building out the M&A and Corporate Development capabilities with an Analyst and an Associate hire. By providing centralised support functions such as finance, marketing, and human resources, the organisation enables its partner companies to focus on delivering high-quality services to customers. With multiple operating entities and locations across Germany, the group offers a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. What the job involves- Supporting the execution of the company's growth strategy through M&A and corporate development initiatives across the DACH region and wider Europe
- Building and maintaining a strong acquisition pipeline by identifying potential targets, conducting market research, and developing relationships with business owners and sellers
- Managing and supporting the end-to-end acquisition process, including target screening, outreach, valuation analysis, due diligence, and transaction execution
- Developing financial models, company valuations, and other financial analyses such as benchmarking and performance assessments
- Assisting in the design of post-merger integration strategies and target operating models in close collaboration with senior management
- Supporting strategic projects related to corporate growth, business transformation, and operational development
- Preparing regular project updates, management reports, and milestone tracking documentation
- Contributing to the development and implementation of integration plans to ensure the successful incorporation of acquired businesses into the wider group
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Initial experience or exposure to M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, investment banking, consulting, or corporate development
- Foundational knowledge of financial modelling and business valuation methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and organised approach to work
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- High levels of self-motivation, discretion, reliability, and accountability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders
- Proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to take ownership of projects
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
