We are looking for a Senior Tax Expert (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible on a full-time, permanent basis in the core area of income taxes (national and international).
We embrace a remote-first approach, but you can choose whether to work in a hybrid model or entirely on-site, depending on your proximity to one of our locations (Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin).

As our new Senior Tax Expert (Tax Specialist) in the core area of income taxes, you’ll have the responsibility of dealing with direct taxes while working in an exciting, dynamic, and international environment.

With us, you’ll have a wide range of responsibilities: The focus is on direct taxes and related compliance consulting both domestically and internationally. Preparing and filing income tax returns for our corporate group, both domestically and internationally, in collaboration with our external advisors. Providing income tax advice to affiliated companies. Providing advisory support during national and international tax audits. Providing advice on transfer pricing and preparing local and master files. Maintaining and improving the tax CMS. Providing advisory support for M&A projects. Monitoring national and international legislative initiatives that could impact our group, as well as the latest national Federal Fiscal Court (BFH) and European Court of Justice (ECJ) case law.

In this context, you’ll also have access to a network of experienced consultants.

What convinces us

Your open, reliable, and service-oriented personality, combined with:

• substantial experience in tax consulting—for example, through several years of work at a law firm, a large tax consulting firm, or in a company’s tax department
• broad knowledge of income tax compliance, with a willingness to continually expand this knowledge
• knowledge of income tax group structures
• strong self-management skills in relation to compliance deadlines in various countries
• strong teamwork skills, as well as an analytical, structured, and quality-oriented approach to thinking and working
• very good German and English language skills
• proficiency with various IT programs, such as Excel, Microsoft D365, etc.

What is a plus (but not a requirement):

• Initial experience in the industry
• A certified tax advisor qualification or a degree in tax administration
