Job Description

Take ownership of our regulatory technology core and shape the future of Scalable’s fully vertically integrated investment and banking platform. This role provides high visibility and critical impact across the entire organization, placing you at the center of our most pivotal company developments, from major product expansions to core strategic projects

We are seeking a passionate, diligent, and forward-thinking (Senior) Product Manager to drive product enablement for our control functions (AML, Finance, Compliance, Financial Risk, etc.). These control functions are your "clients": Your mission is to build robust, tech-driven solutions that ensure their operations can work and scale efficiently as our business grows. 

In this position, your core responsibility will be the link between product strategy, technical execution, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with other Product Managers and our control functions to proactively identify and understand upcoming regulatory requirements. Subsequently, you will partner directly with the data engineering team to design and implement compliant, practical solutions. In an era defined by AI and rapid tech acceleration, we are looking for a smart, creative problem solver who prioritizes execution speed alongside diligence to eliminate regulatory risks and automate workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Enablement & Client Focus: Act as the Product Manager for Scalable’s Regulatory Technology domain, treating the control functions as your primary clients to ensure their operations scale seamlessly.
• Requirements Definition & Synthesis: Work collaboratively with the 2nd line and use-case owners to discover, define, and synthesize complex new regulatory requirements, ensuring requirements are fully defined and actionable, allowing the engineering team to seamlessly kick off implementation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product manager peers to understand requirements across our Broker, Wealth, Credit, and Banking offerings, ensuring all new features integrate smoothly with our regulatory reporting systems.
• Technical Roadmap Ownership: Take full ownership of the product roadmap and technical specifications for the domain, working hand-in-hand with a large team of Data Engineers to design robust solutions on top of our data lake and regulatory data architecture.
• Execution Speed & Diligence: Drive end-to-end product delivery from technical evaluation to production with a strong focus on high execution speed while ensuring absolute accuracy and attention to detail.
• Agile Milestone Management: Apply agile frameworks to drive development, shifting from rigid sprint commitments to milestone steering and prioritization to maintain adaptability under changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Product Management Background: Solid experience in product management, ideally with exposure to technical platforms, financial services, data engineering, or regulatory environments.
• Creativity & Smartness Over Pure Domain Expertise: Prior experience in either Data Engineering or Regulatory Reporting is beneficial, but not a mandatory requirement. In the age of AI, we highly honor creativity, quick learning, and smart problem-solving over years of legacy domain expertise.
• Technical & Analytical Affinity: You will work closely with a dedicated engineering team, so technical affinity is required to collaborate effectively and achieve the best outcomes together.
• Diligence & Speed: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to dissect complex regulatory frameworks into clear, step-by-step technical specifications while executing with high velocity.
• Stakeholder Harmonization: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to align a large, diverse group of stakeholders across engineering, operations, product management, and control functions.
• Agile Mindset: Proficient with modern agile collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and comfortable navigating fast-paced, high-visibility task forces or firefighting environments.
• Language: Professional fluency in English; German is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
