Senior Financial Analyst, DEU Marketplace

This Finance analyst role sits within the Germany Stores Finance team in Munich, supporting Amazon's largest EU marketplace — a multi-billion dollar business spanning Retail and third-party (3P) sales across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You'll provide end-to-end topline financial analysis that directly informs how the DE business plans, forecasts, and accelerates growth, partnering with senior commercial, marketplace, and operations leaders to identify and quantify revenue opportunities across a complex, fast-moving P&L.The Germany Stores Finance team sits at the heart of Amazon's EU commercial strategy. In this role, you'll act as a key finance partner to DE senior management — owning topline planning, weekly and monthly performance reporting, and forward-looking forecasting across FBA, MFN, and marketplace channels. Your analysis will feed directly into decisions on growth initiatives, deal strategy, and competitive positioning. You'll build and maintain automated auditing and forecasting tools (including AI-driven solutions), lead financial reviews across a broader EU Marketplace Finance community, and drive continuous improvement in how the team tracks, explains, and influences topline performance. We foster a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued and team members support each other in achieving shared goals.Basic qualifications- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, or experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making- Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions- Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A (at multinational organisation.)- English B2+ language proficiencyPreferred qualification - MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of Tableau- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
