What you do

Our trading desk is growing. We market a ~500 MW portfolio of battery storage systems and aggregated EVs across Day-Ahead, Intraday and reserve markets in four European countries — and we're expanding. You'll lead a team of 5–8 traders and analysts, reporting directly to the Head of Trading, with real ownership over how the desk operates and performs.
This isn't a role where the playbook is written. You'll shape it.

• Leading and developing a team of traders and analysts — setting direction, building capability, and holding the bar on performance and accountability
• Driving the development and continuous refinement of algorithmic bidding strategies across DA, ID, reserve markets (FCR, aFRR, mFRR) and other flex marktes
• Overseeing real-time position management, net exposure and P&L across our portfolio
• Pushing the automation agenda forward — working closely with Tech and Quants to expand our algorithmic trading environment and reduce reliance on manual intervention
• Steering research and backtesting efforts to improve strategy quality and identify new opportunities
• Maintaining a stable, reliable trading environment: clear priorities, clean processes, and a team that knows what good looks like

Who you are

• Several years of experience in energy trading, ideally in BESS, flexibility or power markets — you know how these markets work and how to make money in them
• Strong front-office background: position management, algorithmic trading, multi-market optimisation
• Solid Python skills and quantitative thinking — financial modelling, risk assessment, data-driven decision making
• Experience leading or mentoring a team; you bring structure, make clear decisions and create accountability without micromanaging
• Familiarity with European market infrastructure (EPEX, IBEX, TSO reserves) and platforms like PowerBot or Volue
• Fluent English; German is a plus
• Knowledge of REMIT/REMIT-II is a bonus, not a hard requirement
