Where matters span time zones and teams work together to solve complex challenges.We have a well-established global M&BD team which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, client relationship management and reputational activities.We are seeking aM&BD Advisor Automotive and Mobility and Aerospace and Defense (m/w/d)full-time in MunichYou will work closely with the global and local M&BD teams, along with the global Sector Heads, leadership teams, and key lawyers to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy that drives client engagement, strengthens market positioning, and supports the long-term growth of the sectors.Your key responsibilitiesStrategy and business planningSupport sector leadership, the M&BD teams, and others to design and execute a global strategy that aligns with firm objectives and strengthens market position in the A&D and A&M sectorsSupport the development of the A&D and A&M sectors' yearly business plans and ensure implementation that supports the global sector strategyMarketing campaigns, profile raising, and thought leadershipPlan, create, and help manage the implementation of marketing communications, including seminars and client events, client trainings, client-facing materials, external conference attendance, as well as web and social media contentLead and support directory and award submissions for relevant rankings and publicationsCoordinate input for sector-specific thought leadership publicationsCollaborate with the PR team to implement profile-raising strategies for the sectors and individual partnersEvents and sponsorshipsSupport client seminars, webinars, and other marketing events — managing materials, supporting vendor selection, developing client communications, and handling day-of logistics and follow-up reportingSupport the evaluation, coordination, and execution of sponsorships, including support with negotiating agreements and managing participation, to ensure the firm maximises return on its investmentWork with the sector heads and leadership teams to plan internal meetings, retreats, and sessions focused on educating the firm about the sectorsPitching, targeting, and new business generationDevelop, manage, and support responses to RFPs, pitches, and proposals tailored to client needsCreate and maintain a suite of standard targeting materials, including credentials documentsInternal communications and knowledge sharingSupport sector working group efforts as M&BD lead and share best practices and processes across the global sector teamMaintain key M&BD resources, including on the global intranet and hoganlovells.com, team lists, and master credentials documentsSupport M&BD leadership to promote our capabilities across the firm, including through global retreats, internal newsletters, conference calls, meetings, and the intranetWider M&BD projectsFlexibility to support across other sectors as neededManage and contribute to broader M&BD projects and assignments, as appropriateAll members of the firm are expected and encouraged to participate in our global Responsible Business programSpecific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location, and servicesWhat we expect from youBachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related fieldThree years of relevant experience required, preferably in the legal or professional services sectorKnowledge and experience in the Aerospace and Defense and/or Automotive and Mobility sector preferredFluent in English and GermanAbility to independently execute campaigns and other assigned projectsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAble to think broadly and demonstrate a high level of initiativeHighly motivated and enthusiastic self-starterPragmatic, diplomatic, and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalitiesAble to work both independently and collaboratively, especially with teams across countries and time zonesDemonstrated project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and maintain an excellent eye for detailProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
