You will contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications based on Java technologies, with a strong focus on the Spring ecosystem and modern software engineering practices.In addition, you will help shape the future of software development at G+D by leveraging AI-assisted development tools and approaches. Working closely with your team, you will explore how coding assistants and AI agents can be used effectively, responsibly, and securely to improve productivity, software quality, testing, and documentation.This role is based in Munich and offers the opportunity to work in a highly international environment. You will collaborate daily with an agile Scrum team primarily located in Gurugram, India, making strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset essential. If you enjoy working across cultures and contributing to globally distributed teams, we look forward to meeting you.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications with a strong focus on security, performance, scalability, and maintainabilityContribute to technical design decisions, effort estimations, and architectural discussionsDevelop proof-of-concepts to evaluate and validate technical solutions and new technologiesCollaborate closely with business analysts, testers, support specialists, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycleTroubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues and production incidentsApply and promote AI-assisted software development practices, ensuring responsible usage and validation of AI-generated resultsContribute to the continuous improvement of our cross-functional agile team, fostering engineering excellence, built-in quality, test-driven development, security-by-design, and AI-first approachesSupport knowledge sharing and actively contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovationYour QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field5+ years of professional experience in Java software developmentStrong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, EJB, and RESTful APIsExperience with enterprise application servers such as WebSphere or JBossSolid understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture, and enterprise application developmentHands-on experience with non-functional requirements, including security, performance optimization, scalability, and automated testingExperience with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuningFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools and a strong understanding of responsible AI usage, security considerations, and result validationStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skillsExcellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment$$ We are an equal opportunity employer!
