Your role

As a Transportation Network Manager for the DACH region, you will be responsible for the local network design, transportation strategy, transportation service and cost performances.

Main responsibilities:

• Monitors carriers performance and service levels for all product categories distributed locally, reporting any deviation to agreed SLAs in terms of promised lead; works closely on deep-dives and corrective action plans in case of under-performances.
• Tracks and reports service and quality performances and claims.
• Act as a single point interface for both internal and external customers, developing and improving transportation methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness, continue to meet the delivery requirements of the customer.
• Owns the local transportation cost budget. Performs cost analysis on transportation expenses and recommending modifications to meet industry “best practice”, in cooperation with logistics sourcing department.

Main requirements:

• Min 5-6 years of experience in transportation management / in organized logistics sector
• Proved knowledge of Transportation and Logistics industry
• Analytical, facts and figures decision based
• Ideally candidate should come from company with large omnichannel (WHOLESALE, RETAIL, ECOM) business distribution
• Fluent in English and German;
• Proficient using MS Office
• Available for Business trips
• Experience of stakeholder management in a complex global environment
• Good communicator across all levels both towards internal stakeholder and external Suppliers
• Demonstrable problem solving skills with an ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
• Excellent self-management practices
• Proactive, energetic and committed
• Flexible, adaptable and pragmatic
