Solutions Engineer

About the Role

This is the first Solutions Engineer hire at a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed B2B SaaS startup in Munich, automating quote and order workflows for distributors and manufacturers with AI. You will own the entire technical dimension of enterprise sales, sitting at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering, and your work will directly shape both deals won and the product roadmap.

What You'll Do

• Own the technical side of every major deal, from the first demo through to a signed customer.

• Embed into customer workflows to identify the use cases that best demonstrate real, measurable value.

• Join sales conversations as the credible technical counterpart on integrations, data, security, and architecture.

• Build proofs of concept and live demos using the customer's actual data, proving the product works in their specific context rather than an idealized one.

• Translate deal insights back to the product and engineering teams, distinguishing demo-only requests from quick builds or core product needs.

What We're Looking For

• 2 or more years in Solutions Engineering, Technical Customer Success, Technical Consulting, or a closely related role, with meaningful ownership of the technical side of customer deals.

• Hands-on experience delivering proofs of concept and live demos on enterprise customers' real data.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python, solid comfort with APIs, and a working understanding of integration and system architectures.

• Familiarity with enterprise data security, privacy standards, and ERP or CRM integration patterns.

• Native-level German communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders and stay composed in live, unscripted demos.

• Strong commercial judgment: able to read a room, identify the real blocker, and help move deals forward.

• A track record of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and making abstract products feel tangible.

• Comfort working in a high-intensity, in-person, early-stage environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: 80,000 to 130,000 EUR annually . Visa sponsorship is available.
