Product Management Expert (f/m/d) - Healthcare Integration and AI
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you’ll build
Healthcare systems worldwide are navigating one of their most complex transformations - and SAP is helping lead the way. As a Product Management Expert for the Healthcare Provider industry, you'll define the products and partnerships that bring this vision to life. Your work will directly shape how hospitals and health systems connect clinical, administrative, and financial data - driving a partner-led strategy that connects hospital information systems with the SAP Autonomous Suite through modular, AI-powered offerings.
You’ll be the connective force across the product value chain - aligning design, development, marketing, legal, and sales teams internally, while partnering closely with customers and our global partner ecosystem. Together, you’ll define the why, what, and when of product delivery, ensuring every release solves real problems for healthcare providers and creates measurable value for patients, clinicians, and administrators.
In this role, you will:
Lead customer and product discovery end-to-end - from uncovering real problems to shaping valuable, usable, feasible, and viable solutions to the healthcare industry’s most significant challenges
Shape the integration strategy within a healthcare IT landscape, defining how Hospital Information Systems (HIS) connect to the SAP Autonomous Suite
Drive interoperability by modeling and designing HL7 FHIR resources and APIs that enable seamless integration between HIS and the SAP portfolio
Design and prioritize real-world AI use cases for clinical and operational workflows, working with strategic customers, partners, and engineering teams to deliver tangible value through SAP Business AI
Unlock insights from healthcare data through modeling and analytics that span administrative, financial, and clinical domains
Engage with industry standards bodies, SAP user groups, and the broader healthcare community to keep SAP's solutions interoperable and strategically positioned
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who combines deep healthcare industry expertise with a product mindset and a passion for solving meaningful problems.
Proven experience in product management within healthcare IT gives you a strong understanding of the vendors, platforms, and workflows that hospitals rely on, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Hospital Information Systems (HIS), and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems, as well as healthcare IT platforms such as Clinical Data Repositories (CDR).
Healthcare data standards and interoperability are part of your working vocabulary, with hands-on experience applying HL7 FHIR, and other standards in real product contexts.
Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical workflows, and healthcare relevant regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR enables you to speak the language of clinicians, IT leaders, and compliance stakeholders.
Leveraging AI in your everyday workflows is second nature, and you ensure high-quality outputs through thoughtful context design and system integration.
An analytical and problem-solving mindset helps you translate complex data and ambiguous problems into clear, actionable insights and product decisions.
Collaboration comes naturally to you: listening deeply, communicating clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, and thriving in cross-functional environments that span design, engineering, partners, and customers.
A background in Medical Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, gained through formal education or equivalent experience, provides the foundation you build on.
- German fluency at C1 Level
Where you belong
You'll join a team of industry and AI specialists working at the intersection of technology and healthcare - combining deep domain expertise with strong engineering partnership to turn complex challenges into scalable solutions. As part of the global product management team, you’ll collaborate closely with our engineering team in India and Germany and act as a connector across customers, partners, and the broader SAP organization.
This is a culture built on curiosity, continuous learning, and genuine collaboration. You'll have room to explore new ideas, influence product strategy, and grow - with access to SAP's global network, structured learning and development programs, and a community of people who care about doing meaningful work. You'll work directly with customers and partners, challenge assumptions with data, and have a real voice in shaping the direction of healthcare at SAP.
You'll thrive here if you're customer-centric, motivated by outcomes that matter, and energized by building something new in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
Skills used in this role include: competitive analysis, market research, product lifecycle management, product roadmap development, software development life cycle, data-driven decision making, storytelling, customer engagement, AI-assisted engineering, AI-Assisted Automation and Prototyping, context engineering, AI output quality assurance, agentic AI day-to-day practice, AI adoption capability.
