Automotive Engineer (m/w/d) - Smart and Keyless Vehicle Access - Ingenieur

Your tasks with the team:

• Technical onboarding and enablement of customers & partners (workshops, trainings, best practices).
• Development of integration concepts (high-level architecture, interfaces, data/security flows) together with internal teams.
• Support of PoCs/pilots until productive use: risk and blocker management, technical coordination, structured escalation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting: analysis of logs/traces, error reproduction, hypothesis formation, solution proposals, and feedback to engineering.
• Creation and maintenance of enablement artifacts: integration guides, runbooks, FAQs, demo setups, reference architectures.
• Moderation of technical Jour Fixes with stakeholders (engineering, product, security, QA, project management on the customer/partner side).
• Ensuring consistent technical communication across all parties involved (German/English).

Job requirements

• High willingness to travel and flexibility for project-related on-site assignments at the customer's premises are required.
• We expect very good English skills so that you can confidently participate in technical discussions and create documentation.
• We require pronounced communication skills with a clear team and customer orientation.
• A proactive and structured way of working with clear prioritization, ownership, and clean documentation is essential for us.
• You must have in-depth experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Practical knowledge from digital key projects or in the field of vehicle access or system architecture is desirable.
• Experience in the holistic support of a software or hardware development cycle of a control unit is advantageous.
• Ideally, you have experience with international vehicle or device OEMs as well as relevant certification processes (e.g., CCC, FIRA).
• Knowledge of test automation (e.g., Python, CAPL, C++ or Robot Framework) is a plus.

• Basic security know-how (e.g., key management, provisioning) ideally completes your profile.
