Compliance Manager (m/f/d)*

At Munich Re’s Global Compliance Team, we live and shape a culture of integrity.

We design and manage the Group-wide Compliance Management System (CMS), promote integrated Compliance through customized IT solutions, and provide transparency for internal and external stakeholders through KPIs and comprehensive Compliance reporting.

Your Job

  • Proactively contribute to the continuous and risk-adequate enhancement of Munich Re’s Group-wide CMS, ensuring alignment with all relevant laws and regulations, including proper documentation
  • Provide Group-wide methodologies and implement Compliance risk assessments, maturity assessments, and monitoring measures
  • Drive simplification, integration, and automation/digitization of Compliance processes; introduce appropriate tools to strengthen data-driven oversight and monitoring
  • Ensure Compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
  • Support and further develop the Group’s Norms Management
  • Promote an excellent Compliance culture through target Group–oriented communication and modern, interactive training concepts

Your Profile

  • University degree in law, business administration, or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Compliance
  • Proven track record in technical problem-solving and delivery of IT-related solutions
  • High data affinity paired with conceptual, analytical, and structured thinking, complemented by a pragmatic, implementation-oriented mindset
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong team player with an integrative personality, high commitment, and excellent collaboration skills
  • Strong communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Experience in (re)insurance or financial services and knowledge of the related regulatory environment are a plus
