Zühlke is looking for an Expert Data Engineer specializing in Databricks and modern data platforms to join our team.How you'll make ImpactUnderstand the Real Problem: Collaborate with clients to uncover their true needs, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions. You’re comfortable challenging assumptions to ensure we solve the right problems.Build Pipelines That Last: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that run smoothly and require minimal firefighting.Architect on Databricks: Lead the architecture and implementation of data platforms on Databricks, leveraging Delta Lake, workflows, and cluster management to deliver solutions that fit the client’s scale and budget.Own the Infrastructure: Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices, ensuring reproducibility and reliable deployments.Champion Data Quality: Make data quality, governance, and security a priority from the start, not an afterthought.Optimize for Performance and Cost: Continuously improve data processing for speed and efficiency, balancing technical elegance with cost-effectiveness.Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to build integrated, high-impact data platforms.Mentor and Share Knowledge: Support junior engineers and contribute to best practices and internal knowledge sharing, helping others grow and succeed.What's important to usDeep Databricks Expertise: Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, workflows, jobs, and Unity Catalog.
