Head of C-UAS Mission Management System

• Lead and mentor a cross‑functional engineering team, fostering strong performance, growth, and a high‑quality engineering culture;
• Own the full lifecycle of the Mission Management System UI, from requirements and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance;
• Define and evolve the system architecture to ensure scalability, modularity, resilience, and seamless integration with sensors, effectors, C2 systems, and third‑party assets;
• Collaborate with product, systems engineering, UX, and hardware teams to translate operational needs into intuitive and reliable user interfaces;
• Ensure engineering excellence through clean coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and efficient development workflows;
• Shape the product roadmap by identifying new features, improvements, and technology opportunities that enhance mission effectiveness and operator experience;
• Conduct technical reviews, develop proof‑of‑concepts, and guide decisions on frameworks, libraries, and tools;
• Support integration and field testing, validating performance in realistic operational environments and participating in flight operations;
• Champion usability, safety, and reliability in mission‑critical scenarios.Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and collaboration.

What you need to be successful:

• Strong background in software engineering (5+ years), including technical leadership and modern UI + backend development;
• Experience in UAS mission planning, drone operations, or related domains such as robotics, autonomous systems, or C2/C4ISR;
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, real‑time data processing, and high‑availability architectures;
• Familiarity with defence‑related standards and tools (e.g., Sapient, STANAG 4586, ATAK, SitaWare);
• Ability to translate mission and user requirements into intuitive UI/UX and guide teams through complex technical decisions;
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English; defence‑system integration experience is a strong plus.
