Senior Copywriter (d/f/m)

This role requires 2 days per week in the office.

As our Copywriter, you'll own written storytelling at Personio, crafting how we talk about ourselves to the world. You'll connect strategic needs with a strong narrative, expressing why what we do matters. Your words will shape how audiences understand and engage with Personio's mission and impact.

What you'll do

• Brand Voice & Messaging: You define and maintain Personio's written brand voice across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and authenticity in how we communicate our mission and values

• Strategic Storytelling: You translate complex product features and company initiatives into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, from customers to investors

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You partner with Product, Marketing, and Design teams to craft messaging that aligns strategic business goals with customer needs and brand positioning

• Content Strategy: You own the written content strategy for key initiatives, identifying opportunities to tell Personio's story in ways that drive engagement and understanding.

• Product Narratives : You create clear, compelling copy for product launches, feature releases, and user experiences that help customers understand the value we deliver

• Editorial Standards: You establish and uphold editorial guidelines and best practices, mentoring teammates on effective written communication

• Audience Engagement: You craft copy that speaks directly to our target audiences, adapting tone and messaging to different channels and use cases while maintaining brand integrity

What you need to succeed

• Experience & Language: You have 5+ years of experience in copywriting, brand writing, or content strategy, ideally in a tech, SaaS, or product-led environment, and are fluent in English and German with exceptional written communication skills

• Storytelling Craft: You have a proven ability to transform complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that engage diverse audiences and drive understanding

• Brand Expertise: You understand how to build and maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple channels, formats, and audiences while adapting tone appropriately

• Strategic Thinking: You connect business objectives with creative execution, using writing as a tool to achieve measurable goals and support broader company initiatives

• Collaborative Mindset: You work effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Design, incorporating feedback while maintaining editorial integrity and quality standards

• Audience Intelligence: You have a deep understanding of how different audiences consume content, and you tailor your messaging to resonate with customers, employees, investors, and other stakeholders

• Editorial Excellence: You have impeccable attention to detail, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to maintain high standards while working at pace in a fast-moving environment

At Personio, we value in-person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office-based, with 2 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
