Working Student Software Platform in Mobile Communications (C++/Rust/Python) (m/f/d)

Introduction

Join us as a working student in Munich and help keep our device software aligned with evolving 3GPP specs while modernizing the tools that build and ship it. You'll extend Python and Rust-based code-gen tooling, contribute to our C++ communication framework and harden CI/CD-from virtualized system tests to faster C++ builds.

Tasks

• Help to keep 3GPP specification version up to date in our device software by extending our spec-parsing Python tool
• Work on our code generation tooling for multiple programming languages (migration to a Rust-based replacement)
• Support the extension of our communication framework, based on C++
• Assist in improving our multiple CI/CD pipelines: setup for running system tests against virtualized environments, introducing C++ build caching, performance improvements

Qualifications

• Enrolled student in a Computer Science degree or comparable field of studies
• Programming skills in Python / C++ / Rust
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab and CI/CD concepts is a plus
• Enthusiasm for tapping into new topic areas
• Good command of written and spoken English (German is a plus)
