Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

About the Role

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in securing and scaling the supply chain behind ARX Robotics' autonomous defense systems. You will lead strategic and operational procurement across hardware, electronics, and critical system components, helping ensure reliable production in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Finance, and Legal to build resilient supplier networks across Europe and beyond. Your decisions will directly influence product delivery, manufacturing scalability, and the long-term strength of ARX's defense supply chain.

What You'll Build

• Build and scale procurement processes for hardware, electronics, and system components
• Develop trusted supplier partnerships focused on quality, reliability, and long-term collaboration
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, and performance management across strategic vendors
• Strengthen supply chain resilience through risk mitigation, localization, and sourcing strategies across Europe
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with production goals and product development timelines
• Support the rapid delivery of mission-critical systems through efficient purchasing and operational execution
• Drive cost optimization while maintaining high standards for compliance and performance
• Help implement procurement KPIs, ERP integrations, and scalable sourcing workflows
• Ensure compliance with defense procurement, export control, and dual-use regulations
• Contribute to building a robust and future-ready supplier ecosystem for next-generation defense technology

What You Bring

• Experience in procurement within defense, aerospace, automotive, electronics, or similarly complex industries
• Confidence managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and commercial discussions in dynamic environments
• Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and operational purchasing processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, and business teams
• A structured and detail-oriented approach combined with a hands-on mindset
• Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills; SAP experience is a plus
• Familiarity with EU tender law, dual-use goods, or military supply chains is beneficial
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, international environment with evolving priorities
• Fluent English communication skills; German is a plus
• Ownership mentality and motivation to solve complex supply chain challenges
